just was searching around online for something to help smile in the middle of a lot of grief and just thought I would share one thing I found just incase anyone needs a moment to smile too.

Google Auto-suggest can be funny

my fav:
if you type into google (and yeah, I tried it just to see if it was real) "how to raise your" google suggests "how to raise your IQ by eating gifted children"

ah, life is truely absurd at times. Smiler

Hi JaneDoe,

ROTFLMAO!!! Big Grin I've never seen this before - it's hysterical. Thank you so much for sharing it.

I think my favorite is "I accidentally deleted my recycle bin." Really, what would you do if that happened? Big Grin

I'm so glad to see you still posting, still hanging in there, finding humor in the absurdity of Google Auto Suggest. I know there's no humor in how you are feeling right now, but I see the parallel, that sometimes we don't know the reasons for things and it all feels absurd. It is good that you are laughing where you can, and not only that, but even sharing it in the midst of your pain. That's pretty amazing, and speaks volumes about how strong you are and determined to heal in spite of what has happened.

It hurts so much to be let down the way your T's let you down. Let the crying come, I know it feels like it will never let up, but it will, as long as you don't shut down, and especially try to avoid blaming yourself. If you start doing that, just make sure you post it here so we can remind you why it's not your fault. I cried buckets and had to be reminded many many times. Keep doing that and eventually you will move through this to the other side.

Hugs,
SG

p.s. "How come a cupcake is not a mineral" is pretty funny too. It's kind of scary to think why anyone would ever ask that... Big Grin

Hey, that is a cool parallel! Smiler

Therapy and life can be so confusing and unexplainable at times...

More silliness...

How many psychologists does it take to change a light bulb?
1) None. The light bulb will change itself when it's ready.
2) Just one, but the light bulb really has to want to change.
3) Just one, but it takes nine visits.

How many psychiatrists does it take to change a light bulb?
1) "How long have you been having this fantasy?"
2) "Why does the light bulb necessarily have to change?"
3) One, but he must consult the DSM-IV.

How many psychoanalysts does it take to change a light bulb?
1) "How many do YOU think it takes?"

LOL!!! that's great!!!

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman, 'Where's the self-help section?' She said, if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Q: I just joined an HMO. How difficult will it be to choose the doctor I want?

A: Just slightly more difficult than choosing your parents. Your insurer will provide you with a book listing all the doctors who were participating in the plan. These doctors basically fall into two categories: those who are no longer accepting new patients, and those who will see you but are no longer part of the plan. But don't worry, the remaining doctor who is still in the plan and accepting new patients has an office just a half-day's drive away and
that diploma from a small Caribbean Island is very fresh.
