we goed to doctor yesterday for carpal tunnel, and him electrocuted me arm and wrist and fingers!

i very scared for it all.

I'm sorry that doesn't sound like fun. I had to have my gall bladder taken out a few years back and I was feeling really scared about the surgery but feeling foolish for being scared and my first T said something to me that's stuck with me ever since. When a doctor performs surgery, they may be injuring you for your good, but they're still deliberately injuring you. How could that not feel scary, and especially with your background?"

So even though the doctor was electrocuting your arm to help heal carpal tunnel, he was still hurting you. I totally get why that would feel scary.

it not helps it. it were to see where the nerves were going or something. him says we not gots bad enough carpal tunnel for nothing except getting a splint to fit our arm. but most nights our hand falls asleep from it pinching the nerves i guess.

i just not like the ecectroductes.

I'm sorry to hear that you are having nightmares. My T used to ask me about my dreams. Maybe if it isn't TOO scary for you, you should write down some of the dream so you can talk to your T about it at your next session. It couls turn out to be helpful for you in therapy.

Hope your wrists start feeling better with the splints!!!

i ben tryin hard to be so very brav but i kinda fel apart in therapy. i couldn't stop cryin. but me T is very smart and her read the blessing we gots for me. al this stuff with the arm doctor thing done bring bak so bad memories for me

i found a very good but old song. caled "Angels Watching over Me" by Amy Grant. We played it in her office. you ought to check it out. Maked me T all weepy eyed too.

I'm so sorry, it's hard when things happen that trigger our bad memories. I'm so glad that you were able to express how you felt with your T. And therapy is exactly the right place to fall apart.

I LOVE that song! You're right that really is old Amy Grant but I can definitely understand why you would like it. I haven't thought of that song in a long time.

And Samy, normal is highly overrated. Why settle for normal when you can be you?
