Hi everyone,

For those who have got to know me a little bit, I just need to let you know that I have changed my username.

Umm, now how do I say what I was without telling, as it defeats the purpose really.

Thats a difficult one. Well maybe the profile picture might help?

Keep it conspicious folks if you know!

I feel I'm being REALLY silly with this post but, um, there we go..I apologize.

I don't know. I've got all het up about keeping my privacy now. I looked at everyone else's usernames and realized that no one uses they're real name. I thought about that for a while and thought it better to use an alternate. I was using my real name. I felt too exposed after a while.

If you don't know who I am, PM me perhaps, if your curious or whatnot.

Plus I'm paranoid that my therapist will find this forum and see my name. I told her that I go on a psychotherapy forum throughout the week. Not that she would take any time to do such a thing. I can't imagine she sits at home thinking 'This client is interesting, wonder where she goes online?'

Although countertransference would please my inner child, it wouldn't do any justice to the healing!

Okay I'll stop drabbling on now.

Have a good day everyone. Hug

No worries, Forgetmenot. I think it's safe to say that almost all of us have had at least one privacy freak out! And you're absolutely right to not use your real name on the forum.

Welcome! Or welcome back! Or whatever! Big Grin

Great name! No worries about needing to change it. I do remember your avatar. Makes sense to use a made up name. I like yours. (I was boring when I picked mine.) Glad you are here. Big Grin

Welcome again! I'm pretty sure I "recognize" you, and totally understand the name change. Anonymity can feel so much safer.

Forgetmenot (FMN?) thanks for telling us about your change of name. That now explains why your blog link disappeared, which I’m sad about as I liked reading it.

Oops just had a thought that if you’re changing for privacy reasons, maybe you don’t want the blog mentioned either? Let me know and I’ll delete the reference out of this post.

Hi everyone. Thanks for the replies. It was hard to word the note. Ha.

Lamplighter, ah thanks for reading my blog.Smiler I got rid of that too because hyper-sensitive me saw some comments from someone about how they kept they're blog secret and I felt stupid keeping it public. I'll inbox you the link. Smiler

Have a good day everyone.

I don't recognize the avatar and don't know who you are, but I totally understand the need for anonymity. I have sometimes had to go back and delete threads because of the 1 in 1million chance my T is on this forum. I know its probably never going to happen, but that possibility that it could is sometimes so terrifying. So i respect your need for privacy.

Hey Ladygrey.

Aye the anonymity is something I like a lot. Privacy is a very big thing too. Exposure is threatening.

Hmm sometimes I delete things too. I've been thinking of deleting a few replies on here where my identity is shown, but I'm resting assured that I'm conspicuous enough as it is! Smiler
