Families have a way of picking at old wounds for us don't they Scott? I'm sorry, you must be so frustrated. No one enjoys being hung up on. I hope you feel heard here.

Scott,
I'm just impressed that you're hanging in there with the relationship. I barely talk to my sister that I have those level of problems with. And I'm with you on the hanging up the phone thing, hate that! Its just so disrespectful.

And my family are champions of the talk to everyone else in the family EXCEPT the person you're upset with and hide behind other people so you don't have to risk anything. And sending in your husband, who's not even part of the family of origin. Plain wussy, in my book.

Families, can't live with them, can't kill 'em.

Just remember to duck if you need to. Big Grin

But seriously, I really respect the commitment you have to the relationship, especially knowing how difficult it gets for you.

I'm very tired from all my classes, we had to do a weekend workshop. This means i did 6 days straight without a break! But, my classes are done for this semester so I'm very thrilled.

today is my sister's b'day. Honestly, I'm tired of being the one to work things out. I'd like her to take the initiative, I'd like her to apologize for not talking to me personally but through her husband, I'd like her husband to apologize for hanging up, I'd like her to phone and say she's re-thought this tree thing. But, for all the "I'd like hers" it's not going to happen!

I'm too tired to continue this way with her. When is it going to be enough? When can I finally say "that's enough! I'm not doing this with you any more"?

Robin,
I'm sorry, I so understand your frustration and being tired of the situation. The truth is, that's its NOT fair that you are always the one to repair (or even be aware of) the breeches. And I know its hard sometimes to know where to draw the line and say enough is enough. But you've been more than patient from where I'm sitting. And fwiw, I'd rather hang out with you than your sister. Smiler
