Wow, It just now hit me 4 hours after the session tonight. It totally didn't register in my mind until now but T did something really cool for me.

She had an air freshener that I was allergic to. So every once in a while during a session, I would grimace when I saw it out and would have to ask/remind her to put it away. So for 7 months with the allergic air freshener and from time to time I would (sorta jokingly) say "isn't that stuff almost gone!?"

And not too long ago I (innocently) suggested that when it did run out she should replace it with my favorite scent. (never thinking she would do it)

So today I walk in and see the allergy air freshener and I go to remind her to put it away but she tells me it's a new one and not only that, but it's in my favorite scent. Whoa! She did that for me?!?! So I'm guessing she must like me. (yep, it took air freshener to confirm it)

Wow. This is the nicest thing a T has ever done for me and I can't quite believe she did that. For me. And I've been such a brat lately. Gahhh!

(Sorry if this is too sappy for some. I wanted to share because lately T and I have been feeling distant. Well, I've been feeling distant and angry and hurt. This actually affirmed what many of you said, that she does care and I should hang in there.)

Awwww, that is so sweet. I'm happy that your T heard you Forlorn and that she did that for you. That is nice.

oh forlorn that is sweet and not sappy at all. How nice that she remembered you and did something that would make you happy. That is a sign of care.

It reminds me of the time I told my T that he seriously needed new magazines in the reception room because I had read everything at least twice LOL! He asked me what magazines would I like to see out there and I told him. The next week I had an entire selection of new magazines and many of the ones I suggested! I remember sitting down with my mouth open in shock that he would do that and even remember that I asked. I was very touched by that. Thanks for reminding me of that... it helps me to feel better about our relationship when I can go back to the good stuff.

ohh how lovely that she did that for you! its funny how the little things really do hit home that they do care and listen.....I'm please for you Forlorn.
I'm allergic to those ghastly plug in air fresheners!And also those ones that 'go off 'every 5 minutes that are battery operated.it seems everywhere I go lately , they have them!!!!

Not sappy at all- that is wonderful! It is so nice to see evidence of being heard.

You just made me realize something. I think my T may be slowing down in his practice, although he has said nothing to me, but he seems to be vacationing more (not interfering with my time with him though). The last 2 times I saw him, he has read books that i have recommended to him. The last time I saw him, he borrowed my copy of A GENERAL THEORY OF OF LOVE. The time before that it was a book -second in the series of THE LADIES NUMBER 1 DETECTIVE AGENCY.

Thanks for that. I had not realized this as a sort of- gift, knowing he is interested in what I read.- interested in knowing or caring a bit more.

forlorn, just shows a little goes a long way. and not only to get rid of it but to replace it with your favorite scent. that is being in tune with you BIG TIME!! i am so happy for you, i would love to see her smile when you tell her about that. WAY TO GO FORLORN'S T!!!!!! YIPPEE!!
