Hi,

I am facing emotional and mental problems and my condition has become worse. Is there any professional that can help??

Here is an overview of the problems I am facing:

- Taking things too much personally
- Depression
- Very poor at socializing
- Social Phobia
- Avoidant personality disorder
- Social Anxiety
- Perceiving things the wrong way due to depression
- Black and White thinking

Right now my main issue is that I am facing immense trouble forgetting someone.
I want to forget that person because I am acting with him in a very odd way to come close to him. This is happening due to the hype and depression created in my mind regarding him, and it won’t go away until I totally forget him, and then my mind would be balanced and perceive him just like any other normal person.

I am feeling really bad about myself right now and my condition has worsened. Please help me.

I feel for you and the state you find yourself in right now. When things get really intense for me, I either turn to my therapist for support or I go to my doctor and find help in getting a therapist.

I hope you can start looking up phone numbers of good therapists.

take good care of yourself whilst you feel like this, and because this is a forum and we live all other the world, I can't even suggest ways to find a T because we are probably in different countries.

Hello, emotionburstimran! Welcome to the forum! So glad you felt comfortable posting. Big Grin

I wanted to respond because my reason for starting therapy was exactly the same as yours. I also had "immense" trouble forgetting someone and wanted to get over him once and for all. Four years ago I started looking for a therapist to help me. It was not easy to find someone who would listen the way I needed them to, but I eventually found her. This forum has also been very helpful in helping me work through it. And now I am on an antidepressant, and am doing MUCH better. I have not forgotten him, BUT I can cope MUCH BETTER with the feelings that are still there. Fortunately I do not have to actually see this person very often at all. But I am definitely unstuck and "free" from those feelings, I feel, once and for all.

I can also relate to most of the symptoms in your list. I see that you are in a different country than I am, and I have absolutely no idea what your access is to therapy. Are you able to try seeing a therapist, where you can tell them what you told us here, and see if they can help you?

In the meantime, this forum has been a great source of support. Not a replacement for therapy, but most certainly has been a lifeline for me in finding therapy and using the therapy I've found. Good luck to you, and please let us know what you find. Smiler

Peace,
SG
