I thought this was a really hopeful post for any who are dealing with PTSD. http://drkathleenyoung.wordpre...mplex-ptsd-be-cured/ "Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind." — Dr. Seuss

BG, Thanks for the link. In my experience, the article was dead on and described exactly how I was able to heal. I thought especially important was what she said about de-patholigizing our behaviors. My T doing that made a HUGE difference for me. They're reasonable considering what happened. So we're not so much looking for a cure as being able to learn that which we were not previously taught. Really excellent info, thanks! AG ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Everything will be ok in the end. If it's not ok, then it's not the end." My blog: Tales of a Boundary Ninja

I totally agree, AG. Really good stuff! And it's so hope filled. Many times, when you're processing trauma, it does feel so overwhelming and hopeless. And yet in the care of a skilled clinician, there IS healing. "Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind." — Dr. Seuss

I have to agree totally with you that this article does give hope, it echoes totally what my t told me near the start of therapy, 'we are in for a marathon here, it will take time as long as it takes, and I will not be going anywhere while we are taking this journey together'. So true the other stuff it mentions about attunement, and maybe it should be required reading for all those 'pros' out there who told me there was no cure for my cptsd
