I just found this website:

A Special Kind of Love

Is it possible that I can receive this kind of love in/through therapy? I don't really believe in that, I would love to but...
I have my session in a few hours and I'm so scared already.

What a great article. Thanks Amazon.
I would love to think that this is what we can experience in therapy. How cool would that be?
Good luck with your session. Let us know how it goes.

Actually that website did help me a good bit with my last session. I was a slightly more brave (less of a coward rather) and I got myself to talk a bit more about feelings.
And it kind of felt like love, the way he was responding ...

Wow, Amazon, I'm happy for you!!! I hope you can soak it up and believe it! Sounds like you did some good work today.

Btw, I think "slightly more brave" fits quite nicely. I don't think there's a bit of coward in you.

This article made me cry.

I've never felt love like that. I mean I do in my marriage, but with a maternal figure. I need this from my therapist.

Fine things are often said about disinterested love. But disinterested love is like the one-way charity of almsgiving, whereas all true love is reciprocal

Just come across this while preparing to go off to see therapist - now want to cry but good tears I think. I allowed therapist last week to do something nice for me (she gave me a movie DVD) that she thought I would enjoy - and I allowed her to do it (first time ever !) for someone to do something for me and an experience that totally corrected something that happended the week before Sad
