Memory and Abuse: Remembering and Healing the Effects of Trauma. I read this book when I was really struggling with doubting memories and wanting to know how I could know what I was remembering was true. Only when we are brave enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinite power of our light." Brené Brown

STRM - Did you feel like the book gave you clarity on whether or not things were true or more got you past needing to know, struggling with the doubts and just accepting the sensations/feelings/etc. as important in themselves?

Yaku, Well, I can't say for sure, but I did feel overall that the book was very validated. It is very scientific in parts and certainly what I'm experiencing is pretty well laid out in the book. It talked about different ways to substantiate memories etc., some of which I've done at some point. I haven't fully finished it yet, but it was helpful as an adjunct to all of the other stuff that I've read.
