Many thanks for the welcome and much gratitude for your shiny forums.

Brain imaging and I have a rocky history (off and on, breakups, recriminations, quite ugly when you get down to it) but I'm quite interested in the term "Exothalmic" and where it comes from or what it means. Other than a label that refers to folks who have difficulty naming their emotions, do you (or anyone else) know where it comes from? What it was originally used for? My basic research turns up only a fair bit on goiter...
