I haven't found I'm using any of my T's phrases, haven't been around any one of them long enough to be affected! But I do now quite spontaneously spout psychobabble, as Scars and AV say - it's just easier to use shorthand that everyone understands.

And to think that not so long ago I was quite rabidly anti that sort of thing and made a conscious effort NOT to use text book terminology. Too bad, now it's become automatic Roll Eyes

Lol I too like the term T-ism. Maybe that's what we could call this way of speaking? What would be your favourite (or most hated) T-ism that you find yourself using? I can't think of mine at the moment (gone blank, it's that time of day when I'm at my lowest ebb.)

Hi Monte... I have definitely done this. I use ideas and phrases I have learned from my T. A favorite is... just because it sounds scary does not mean it's dangerous. And... keep your head up.

I don't really get annoyed when those words come out of my mouth. It makes me smile and then I feel closer to T and that is a good feeling.

I'm sure your T has many wise phrases that you cannot help but incorporate.

Hugs
