Quiche? Do you have any pie crusts or can you get one at the store. That and some cheese, milk, cream would be enough. You could add broccoli or spinach or bacon or ham...whatever you like.
I make a yummy french toast casserole recipe that requires a lot of eggs:
http://www.mealsmatter.org/rec...geTemplate=printview
I use french toast bread and cinnamon raisin bread mixed together. I usually 1.5x the recipe. I add a layer of cinnamon on top of each bread layer. I do not use the (optional) nuts. I do a little extra cream cheese. Oh, and I up the vanilla (goes in the egg mixture) a little bit, to make it more like bread pudding and less like breakfast.

Well, yeah, just a bit!
Mmmm...deviled eggs. Six is not enough, though. What about a custard or something? This one I just randomly looked up calls for six egg yolks.

I'm with Yaku - Deviled Eggs are my favorite. I wouldn't know the first thing about how to make them, though!!
Kashley:
Hard boil eggs. Cool. Peel. Cut in half. Scoop out yolks. Place whites so that the hollow part is facing up. Mix yolks in bowl with mustard, mayo, sweet pickle relish to taste. Fill the whites with the mixture. Sprinkle with paprika. Done.

Oh LG, you are naughty!
DF,
So sorry you are sick! I hope you feel better soon. You've had some good ideas here. I'm not good with eggie stuff as eggs and I are not so much friends. I can handle them in cookies and baked goods, but not overt eggs if that makes sense.
I say french toast with a huge side of bacon. I'm with you...bacon is it's own food group. Yummy!!

Kashley:
6 Hard boiled eggs will make 12 deviled eggs, cool, peel, cut in half lengthwise. Put boiled egg yolks in bowl and the boiled egg white shell in or on a container with a lid unless you plan to eat them all at once.
Mash the egg yolk mixture with a fork or pastry cutter, then a mixer with the following ingredients of mustard, mayo, sweet pickle relish to taste or instead, Dash of vinager or any pickle type juice and some sugar to taste. Mix with the mixer, being careful not to add to much liquids so that the egg batter will be slightly stiff and hold its shape in the egg white shell. Top with sprinkled paprika.
If one eats too many Deviled eggs it is possible one may succumb to a sour stomach otherwise know as *Rotten egg burps*. No fear though, the cure is here! Just have some alka seltzer on hand, mix and drink and start your recovery. You will be as good as new in a short while.

Thanks for the recipes, Yaku and Marsh! I will definitely be trying that soon. Deviled eggs are one of my favorite things ever.
Deviled eggs are actually quicker than quiche if you like them. Or egg salad sandwiches, of course.
quote:I really don't like mayo (you'd think I was apocolyptically allergic by the way I react when mayo even touches something I'm eating or is in the general area of stuff I'm eating. I'm a huge baby!) I can handle it in some things if I cannot CONFIRM there is mayo but buying and using it myself I don't think I'm emotionally ready for that
DF wow I'm exactly the same with mayo. But also with wine vinegar... it cannot be NEAR any of my food. Hate the smell of it. Very weird I know.
I's sorry you are sick and I hope you feel better very soon. Maybe you should be resting instead of cooking enough for an army LOL!
Sending get well vibes your way
TN
Yummy meringues which will then keep for another week or so.
DF you are too funny! If I was feeling that sick, the eggs would get really friendly with the garbage disposal. It was with deep regret that I read of your hatred of mayonaisse as deviled eggs are literally one of my favorite foods. My husband once made me a whole plate of them for my birthday.
I hope you feel better soon!

I'm sure your peeps could share.
quote:I dunno they have some pretty deep transference and abandonment issues - I eat them as a sort of way to put them out of their misery (am I going to have nightmares tonight that I'm a giant peep and my T will literally eat me alive like so much sweet mashmallowy easter peep as a way to put me out of my misery???)
DF - My whole family is staring at me like I've finally lost it as I LOL at your post.
BTW, when I first saw the title of this thread, I thought it was about making babies.

ROFLMAO!!
I just laughed so hard, my family said, "Jesus, you like those forums better than you like us!" Thank you. Need the laughs!!! My poor family.
How did I miss out on all the fun going on in here? good thing my fam is in bed, I'm laughing pretty hard at some of your comments!
anybody read the book "potatoes not prozac?" Eggs are gooooood, LG. What's wrong with the yolks?
but seriously...pickle relish in deviled eggs? It can't be. DF, if you are laying in bed awake, worrying about your eggs...I suggest you do the crepe thing. mmmmmmmmm. Roll it up, with bacon and cheese. (BB impersonates Homer Simpson gargling...)
