UV thanks for the quotes. My T and I both had a love of inspirational quotes and he would email me quotes now and then. Many of the ones you listed are ones he sent me. I miss the T and the man he was before this awful disruption. He was truly a caring and kind man and I don't know what happened to him.

PG... the Confucius quote is one my T told me when I had decided to go back to school but felt overwhelmed. I ended up seeing a pretty necklace with this quote engraved on the medallion. I have not worn it for a long while because it hurts right now because of all this grief I'm dealing with and I've had to leave school for awhile.

I hope one day soon I will be able to wear the necklace again.

Thanks for the quotes and the memories.

quote:
When written in Chinese the word "crisis" is composed of two characters one represents danger and the other represents opportunity.
quote:

love that one. I just recently heard this in a movie i saw (forgot the name) and gave it a thought then as well, because the qote hit me somehow. I like to think- and i belive- that my deepest crisis represented a new opportunity to me. thanks UV.

I know for sure i would never ended up in therapy and met my T if i didnt had to face that crisis back then. thanks UV.
UV,
Thanks for all the quotes, quite an awesome collection.

The quote from your Ts office is QUITE true. And very honest of him to put it in his office. Big Grin

If I may add a quote to the collection. There is a CS Lewis quote that I used to bolster my courage about opening up and risking being hurt. I include it below.

quote:
To love at all is to be vulnerable. Love anything, and your heart will certainly be wrung and possibly be broken. If you want to make sure of keeping it intact, you must give your heart to no one, not even to an animal. Wrap it carefully round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements; lock it up safe in the casket or coffin of your selfishness. But in that casket--safe, dark, motionless, airless--it will change. It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, irredeemable. The alternative to tragedy, or at least to risk of tragedy, is damnation. The only place outside Heaven where you can be perfectly safe from all the dangers and perturbations of love is Hell.
