Big Grin Monte you are funny! Thanks for the laugh. Good to see you!

Hmmm, I'm not really sure. T works mostly M-Th, but sees a small handful of clients on some Fridays (I am one of those).

She leaves room between appointments and sees 4-5 clients a day, but I know she has some days where she doesn't see that many. Some of us she sees multiple times per week and I'm sure she has clients that she only sees every few weeks. I have no clue. If I had to guess, I'd say between 20-30, but who the heck knows. Could be only 15 or could be 40. I do know she says she is full and is no longer accepting clients.
oh, tricky question...I assume T has meny. Never asked. Once a week he workes at the psych ward at the hospital, as well as being group- therapist, one evening a week. And he`s being supervisor for alot of other therapists too- (lol- they count as patients too, right?)And doing individual psychotherapy the rest of the week, and sees me 3 session a week Big Grin - ok ,heck- and of course he sees other patients then too..but they dont really count, do they?! Big Grin
I have no idea.
I know she only works 4 days a week and I'm pretty sure she stops working at maybe 5pm or 6pm, sometimes earlier (I once was her last client at 3.30pm).

The Lunch hour thing is something I wonder about often.
I don't have a fixed date and time so I come in whenever she has time and it's often at 12 or 1pm, and she sees a client before me and one after me.. does she ever eat??
Interesting question that I have pondered often. OldT seemed to work only half days. He would come in at 1 or 2 pm and work till 6 or 7 and on Mon-Thursday. I would guess he has around 16 clients and no more than 20. Of course I was his "special" one until he threw me out.

NewT has TOO MANY clients because I have a hard time getting an appointment. It's hard to say how many because I don't know him that well and I'm not even sure how many days he sees clients or what his hours are. Very mysterious. I know he supervises interns and he does other outside work in a community setting. I would say he has around 30 clients and only takes new clients by referral... I was lucky in that way as I was sort of referred by a current client of his. I'm so grateful for that.

interesting topic. my gal, she stays pretty busy. maybe thirty a week? 5 days at 6 a day, not really counting the multiples in group. i have no delusions i am her favorite (love that, monte!!) but, i guess i am one of the more frustrating. maybe not, but really, when you think about it...how DO they keep up with all this stuff!!

mine does not take notes in session, t1 and t3 did, although i suspect t1 of just doodling and trying to look useful...

there are so many details, it really is a wonder they can do this job. the names, the 'ways' of the significant others in our lives...

i think it would be a really hard job to be a good therapist. and a really EASY job to be a bad therapist...and just sit there and listen and nod, and ask 'what other issues does that bring up'.

wouldn't you love to see your t with another client, or really, that may kill me, i would sense her caring more for them than for me.

it is interesting how many lives they see the details of. would be really interesting to be a fly on the wall for a day in there.

great topic ladygrey! jill
