Awesome, LG!!! Good for you. I'm so happy that you have had a breakthrough, you've been working really hard and it seems like you feel so relieved!
I'm just wondering- what is it about working with T1 that is keeping you from being able to go deeper with T2? Just the proximity of someone you are that attached to being distracting, or something else..?
In any case- I'm really glad for you!

Monte,
Your T will take you there someday if you keep at it. And it will probably happen when you least expect it to.

It's okay to keep both your Ts and see where it goes. I think you can still do amazing work with T2 while you see T... I don't feel like my work is any less with my regular T because I see my DBT T.
Thanks, luv, makes me beam too!!! I am practically bouncing off the walls!
LG,
Good for you!!!

So happy for you, LG! I hope to get there with my T someday if I can stick with him.
LG,
So Happy for you. Wondering if you felt some kind of a release when it was over?

Wow LG that is just fabulous. Yeah it's weird that everyone is happy that you cried... that's therapy!
But as someone who had done a lof of crying lately with her therapist... I totally understand the feeling. It's freeing and you feel amazed and lighter. It's not so much the crying I think it's the attunement, the feeling you are safe enough to allow that vulnerability and having someone witness your passion and pain. It's really an indescribable feeling. Just wondering if you still have some of that feeling. Are you still feeling good about T2 and what happened. I find those moments of closeness stay with me for days. I feel that way now after last night with my T.
I can see where you would hold back from taking some risks with T2 because you have T1 to fall back on. Yet I totally understand the pain of leaving an attachment figure. I think if you show T2 you are willing to continue this kind of deep work she will be okay with T1 being around.
I do hope you have a moment like this again. Actually, I'm pretty sure you will. Let us know when it happens.

Congrats on the removing the emotional blockage that allowed the tears to develop! That's huge growth!
This is good awareness. Maybe share that with your T, if you haven't already? Whatever it was, good, good, good work!
