It sounds like it was bittersweet. I am glad you got what you needed in that final session, but I also feel your sadness about it being over.

I like that she left the door open for you to send her a card and have some contact down the road.

I really like that she apologized for not giving you what you needed in your therapy but I like even more that you said that you are sorry you didn't feel what she did give. To me that shows that you take responsibility for your relationships and don't just place blame on others. I think its wonderful that you are open to the possibility that she did try, but you may just not have been able to receive her message.

I know these next few months will be difficult, but I do think it will get easier in time. You did the right thing and ultimately will be better off.
