Hummmm, thinking music here....

If it were me. I WOULD call my T - I know you are trying to make your own decisions, but whatever you decide could impact on her/you/your sessions. She knows you the best right now and what is on your plate. As you said she won't tell you either way - but running it by her might help you clarify your solution.

If the study means so much to you - and I think it does - I think you should do it. If it makes you happy, there are good reasons for it and it is doable - then do it. BUT, only you can know and weigh up the negatives if you lose your job and cannot get unemployable benefits because you are studying.

Do a Pros and Cons list for each of the alternatives.
Wow DF, I feel like I have helped and that makes me feel good. I need that.

After hearing your latest post - 100% GO FOR IT. Do it, don't look back and give it a go. If it doesn't work - drop it - but at least you have given it a go and that is what you want deep down.

That Pro-Con list you talk about is like the simple list we all grew up with but on steroids. Too many words for me. May be a PMI - Plus, Minuses and Interesting is better for future. Must remember that.

Rapt for you DF. Good luck.
Wow DF
Talk to your T about it again, and then go for it ! I have just spent the past couple of weeks having this conversation in your post with myself and then T. We looked at all the pro/pro/con/cons and risks. The upshot is I am going for my thing and can always cut down if needed too. T is even offering to do some work to prepare me for the start of my thing - so chatting to t was the best risk in a while Smiler Good Luck, DF with your plans
Hi DF... I know how it is because I am in school too, aside from full time work and taking care of a family and house. It can be exhausting...BUT... keeping a crazy busy pace like I have always seemed to do could just be another mode of avoidance. It's a way to keep all those icky feelings out of consciousness because we are just too darn busy to think about anything but all the stuff we have to do!

Maybe just stop and take a look at what compels you to take classes even when doing that could disqualify you from unemployment (BTW, I did not know that... how stupid... trying to improve your knowledge/education to get a job while on unemployment to get OFF unemployment is not allowed?) Maybe something to run past your T when you discuss this.

If I'm off base here just ignore me. I'm sorry you have all these issues facing you now while doing a lot of work in therapy.

Hugs
TN
