Thanks for the concern. LOL! I haven't been terminated but I'm really struggling AGAIN and had been researching shame and humiliation in therapy. This book came up. I thought it had such great info and wanted to share. I had wished TN had it as a resource a couple of years back. The therapist sounds amazing.

In any event, I did think it belonged in the book forum but was worried it would get lost. Frowner
Yes, the book made me feel a bit better in that regard. My T and I are having a rocky time of it now but I do think he'd be sad if I left. Although I need more than he really wants to give so maybe it would be a relief if I left. LOL!

What I really liked about the book was that the author has identified and explains why these relationships fall apart. It's so incredibly complicated. At the end of the day, though, I might just have to accept that I cannot have the therapeutic relationship I want with my T even though it might be possible to have it with another T. He is just not oriented that way.
