A special Hi to all you Brits suffering yet another cold, grey wet bank holiday monday. No where to go, nothing to do except sit and watch Britains Got Talent onn the telly! Mind yoy, I did think that violinist was very sexy!! Ha ha.

It does't help our moods does it? all this gloom. Still things can only improve can't they.

Wish I was sommwhere warm and sunny today though!

Best wishes

Just wanted to send my sympathies from across the pond. Big Grin In a good year, Syracuse has 65 sunny days a year. They do depression studies on how the lack of sunlight affects people here. You don't realize how sunny days can lift you up until you do without them for a while.

I remember one November where we literally didn't see the sun for 29 straight days. Let me tell you, NOT a pleasant bunch of people, we were all practically snarling at each other.

So I'll be hoping a little sunshine comes your way. BTW, do you mind my asking what holiday this is? Smiler

Hello AG from across the pond on Bank Holiday.

This particular Bank Holiday is always on the first Monday of every May and known as the May Bank Holiday (in some other places in Europe is known as May Day - workers holiday).

Normally us Brits also get the late May Bank Holiday on the last Monday of the month..but this year because its the Queens Diamond Jubilee they have tagged the late May one to June 4th (day before Queens Jubilee Bank Holiday) to give us June 4th and June 5th as Bank Holidays..so in effect a 4 day weekend unless of course you work in a job like health service, etc where you might normally work these holidays)
No sun here...apart from a brief flurry after lunch, I was working and by the time I was driving home the rain had returned Frowner

With you AG, I need blue sky days to warm my bones Big Grin; also somehow even the grumpiest of people seem to smile when the sun is out. We have a wonderful tradition of wet Bank Holidays here in the UK, here's hoping June might be better Big Grin

Draggers - hope the sun stayed out a bit for you

Avoidant - I have to say I was looking more at the dog!!
