I have eczema. It flares up really bad when I am overly stressed. Considering I have spent the last six months overly stressed, my eczema is out of control. Last time I went to the dermatologist (which costs more than my regular doctors do) all he did was prescribe a cream and pills, neither of which were helpful. My GP is the one that said I need a dermatologist, as my situation is now out of her general role, and needs a specialist. I've gone to several dermatologists and always get the same answer: pills and creams Mad

I have to do something about this, as I want to be able to enjoy summer weather and not feel embarrassed by my skin. My diet is already extremely complicated, so to cut out foods is almost out of the question as there are so little foods I can eat to begin with...

Aside from a dermatologist, any ideas?? Confused

It's funny, acupuncture has been recommended to me for my tendonitis, but I never would have thought about it for my eczema.

Considering acupuncture keeps coming up, I guess it's time to consider it. It will, however, have to wait a while. I have to go to a nutritionist (first appointment this week) and that costs a small fortune. Since neither the nutritionist (also a registered dietician) and acupuncture are covered by insurance, it's going to take a hefty toll on my bank account. A natruopath is on the list as well. One thing at a time, I suppose!

DF, you nailed it. I am hoping to find something that will help get me through the time it takes to work to the root of the problem with my T. Stress is my life right now, and T and I are chipping away at it a little at a time. Unfortunately, my eczema is demanding a little attention right now, and I need a quick bit of maintenance!
