I would really appreciate good books on attachment difficulties. I was recommended here, The General Theory of Love and I found that VERY helpful and now my sweetP is reading it and he is finding it really interesting too. So now I would like another book.
SweetP said on Friday that he agrees with me, that my main pain is around very early attachment stuff and that is really what we need to focus on - and the trauma issues, whilst immensely painful, are not the core issue.

AT last he is understanding.

He is away for ten days now, unexpectedly, so that is hard.

Thank you if you can recommend helpful books,
Sadly

Sadly, sorry to hear sweetP is away for 10 days unexpectedly. I know how hard that is. But it's great to hear how open he is to reading books and to learning more about attachment.

I would recommend Attachment and Psychotherapy by David Wallin

Parenting from the Inside Out by Daniel Siegel and Mary Hartzell

Becoming Attached by Robert Karen

I have listed them in the order of my preference.

Hope that helps.
