I keep looking to find an avatar that fits me. I wish we could download our own. I would choose a dolphin or a husky if I could. Or a runner if I could beat SprintingGal to it. Big Grin

So I thought I'd try this one with the mother and daughter and see how that suits me. The mother looks a little too puritan or old fashioned or something.

Whata ya think?

Thanks AG. I kinda had that in mind when I chose it and how I sometimes picture myself as her little girl on her lap. Smiler Perhaps that's why the actual image of the much older/old fashioned mother is not so fitting for my T. But the idea is there.

I have two small pictures I cut out of greeting cards many years ago when my daughter was small. It's a victorian scene of a mother and daughter that always reminded me of my daughter and me. I wish I could upload one of those. They are far more attractive and would represent the whole mother/daughter/maternal therapist scenario. Then if the world revolved around avatars, life would be great! Big Grin
I think it's a fitting avatar too, JM. It is very symbolic and for such a little avatar stirs up a lot of emotion.

I had trouble finding one for myself too, so I chose this clown-looking thing because that's how I've always handled all the bad times, by being the clown.

PS - since we're on the subject of avatars, and usernames are kind of related, when I first signed on here and tried to pick a user name my first choice was Just Me, but it was already taken. I'm still amazed by how we are all very similar and are on the same wavelength much of the time.

LOL! Sorry OW, but I told Attachment Girl that I had to pick Just Me because she already had my screen name too. I sort of jumped right into the forum as soon as I found it. I was so fascinated I couldn't hold myself back, so I hastily chose one. Sometimes I think of changing it.

I like the clown avatar too. But I'm waaaay to serious for something like that. Big Grin Razzer Roll Eyes Wink
Yes, AG, it is ALL your fault. At least it's not my fault this time, seems like it always is. Razzer

I registered soon after I found the site but since I couldn't have Just Me I think I chose "I Don't Know" or something like that, I wasn't feeling too creative. Then the day I started posting I changed it to Open Windows, a little more creative and I'll give bonus points to anyone who knows where I got it from/what it means.

We could confuse everybody by switching around our usernames and our avatars. Big Grin
Very good because similar things crossed my mind after I decided. It's really from a recurring phrase from one of my favorite books, The Hotel New Hampshire - "Keep passing the open windows."

Literally it means don't jump out the window and kill yourself, but to me it's my reminder to not give up, no matter how bad things seem.
