Is it possible that if you open up to the t a bit directly and bluntly, t may be able to help you find resources for more counseling? I know it is easier said than done, and am not sure I could follow my own advice, but there are often ways around the fee situation if you let them know. good luck.
Hi Springreen, I assume you are in the States? If you are completely self supporting, meaning neither your parents nor anyone else can count you as a dependent on their taxes, and if your only income is part-time, then it is a good bet you could qualify for Medicaid. It is worth checking out. The school counselor ought to be able to steer you in the right direction to apply for it and attest to your diagnosis and need for further counseling. It might take a month after you apply to know whether you qualify, and then you might be required to switch to a different mental health provider. You also might want to just google Medicaid and your state to find a toll-free number for your questions, and quite possibly an online application. Good luck!
What do you want out of therapy? What's your goal? What outcome would make you feel you got something out of the five sessions?
