Hello Johnny, thanks for asking. It's a great idea but we don't yet have chat. The Groupee system which manages the forum is capable of it though. I imagine we can implement it as it gets busy in here.
I've only been in one chat room. The other person I was chatting with wondered why I was taking so long to respond. I was busy thinking!
Chat would be an adjustment for me...

I've done a lot of chats on YahooIM and personally I really enjoy them! I can see how it would get tricky here unless it was monitored.

I love the idea of a chat room....I utilize one as I do on-line education with the University of Victoria.....we utilize the chat room for group work....which is something I really hate....

Debra, is the chat on all the time or is it on only for specific times when your group meets? Someone told me, I'd have to have a lot of traffic before chat would be useful otherwise it'd be hard to know when others were there.

I asked Groupee the hosing company for the forum if they could put notice of who's in the chat room on the main site and they said it couldn't be done at present. But that'd be a nice feature.

I would set a time to start with, and rules LOL ... but I'd think you would probably 'sit alone' some days until word gets out! I did, by the way, post a link to this site to a yahoo group I'm on. I hope that's ok! Oh, you could also set a topic for the chat, that might help too. Just some thoughts.

I think that would be a great idea! I just found this site by complete accident, thinking "myshrink.com" would've been a fun domain to play with. As it is I'm working on building a site to help people with personality disorders.

Anyway... I hope they come up with a chat soon, and that more people discover this.
