Yeah the rain is being a pain lol it rhymes! I've been waiting to put my peach frame up for weeks now and every time I go to do it the rain stops me. Looks like I might have peach leaf curl next year Frowner.

Apparently, white christmas in England is a fallacy and based on the fact that for the first 8 years of Charles Dickens' life it snowed every Christmas, hence the notion of a white Christmas entered his books and into english culture.

Well someone told me that this morning and it sounded good!

Somehow 'I'm dreaming of a wet Christmas' doesn't have quite the same cachet...

Countdown to Christmas: THREE days!

(got my posts mixed up!)
your ham will last several days easily if you keep it in the fridge covered. Don't slice it up cos it will dry up more then.

OMGoodness it's sooooo wet here, the rivers are scarily high and all the roads have huge puddles and streams running over them, good job it's not cold cos the whole country would become an ice rink Eeker Still raining too....

Frosty if he likes to read and is losing his sight, getting more than one talking book is not a bad thing. Lol about Christmas being so far away, yeah you've got at least ooh one day left to find him something. Good luck with thinking of the present.

since when did you cook your own christmas things - and a ham to boot?????? Either you have a secret foolproof recipe or you're being very ambitious. Post a photo when it's done?

Speaking of which, here's a photo of my Christmas tree onto which I finally hung the lametta today.

Aw thanks and AV Embarrassed

Lol AV there are two cats in the photo, the other one is peering out from behind the table. I must get around to posting some pix of them, they can be really cute sometimes.

And no they don't chase the decorations either, see Luci, it is possible to have a tree and cats in the same house Big Grin.

There were still more presents to go under the tree that I put in later. It's a bumper year for prezzies that's for sure, considering there are only two of us here this Christmas.

Got to go now, be back tomorrow

LOL looks the wine is more interesting than my christmas character Big Grin.

Unfortunately I took the pix of him in advance so there's yet more wine in the next couple of photos. (He lives next to the Aga and the wine is there to warm up to room temperature. I'm big on doing things well in advance Cool.)

Hope everyone is getting as much into the Christmas spirit as their respective feelings about the festive season allow Smiler.
