Just a reminder on how to edit/delete a post you write, it's possible and very easy in just a few steps.
1. Go to the post you want to edit or delete.
2. On the lower right hand corner of the post
you will see a little icon that looks like a
file with a pencil eraser on it. I believe
it is the middle one. Click on this and a new
window will pop up.
3. In this new window you can make the changes
you want to the post and then click the
button on the lower right that says Post Now.
4. If you are looking to remove the post
completely then skip section three and simply
click on the link that says Delete Message?
Which is to the left of the button that says
Post Now.
Please keep in mind that anyone requesting a mass deletion of their posts will be instructed to follow these instructions and delete their posts independently.
Please keep in mind that when a mass delete is performed the threads become extremly confusing to readers. Asking a mod to delete a high volume of posts is extremly time consuming to the mod so I am asking to be respectful of our time, jobs, families etc., and if you can edit your own work please do so.
Lastly, if you have started a thread, the first post cannot be deleted by anyone other than a mod. You will need to follow the steps above, and simply delete everything in the box and leave only a period, then select re-post.
From time to time I know that things do happen and to protect people certain actions need to happen. However, I encourage everyone to use the tools of the board to do what they can when they feel uneasy about their posts.
Lastly, please remember that you are ultimately responsible for what you post/link, where you post/link it and understanding who can see the post/link. I am aware that accidents happen and I am sure no mod here would refuse to help but if the oversights appear ongoing - I personaly will ask the user to delete their own posts. Let me know if you have any questions.
