Found a Pic of Dad Who Abandoned Me on Facebook

I have long accepted that I had a loser biological father who left six children behind after a divorce from my mom and never made any effort to be a part of our lives. Today though I by pure chance, found a Facebook page for his other family. I have four half siblings and there was a lovely formal picture of the entire family including him. I had never even seen a picture of him before and since he left when I was almost five, I don't have any recollection of him. He simply is not the monster I pictured him to be. Indeed, he looks rather normal and pleasant. He also died last year apparently. His obit did not mention any previous children though. Only his other family. Not sure how to process this and my T isn't around this weekend. Sometimes, I hate facebook.

Oh Hoosier,

I don't know what to say except that I am so sorry. Finding that picture had to be incredibly painful and then to learn that his obit never mentioned his previous family to boot. You didn't even know he died?
