My H has a meeting with his HR department today. It's something he asked for in regards to the insurance issues (not to ask his company to change anything, but because the vendor is literally not responding to our requests for information, which is illegal, but we can't afford to hire a lawyer to get them to respond). Anyway, we randomly got a COBRA (insurance continuation announcement) in the mail last week and a friend of his at work did not, so he's scared that his repeated complaints to higher-ups about the insurance company's treatment of us have finally screwed things up. Plus, his director didn't look up at him when they greeted each other yesterday.

It could be nothing, because his friend works in IT and is "THE guy" responsible for turning off phones and VPN access when someone is fired/laid off, so unless the company was going all covert due to their friendship, he should know if it was coming. My H is really stressed about it. We have his 401K to fall back on (which we've had to cash out every time he has gotten laid off, so it would kill his retirement...again), so we'd be OK for a season while he applied for jobs, but we would lose healthcare, and probably have to move unless he could find a new one right away.

Anyway, it may or may not happen and I know we'll get by if it does (we always do), but I would really appreciate good thoughts and prayers about this meeting today. Thanks for listening.
