It's been a loooooong time I know.....

STILL having big time hand issues.... inflammation, esp. in the thumb/palm areas.. tenosynovitis complicated by my JRA (Juvenile rheumatoid)..

been going to OT (aka occupational therapy... sorta like Physical Therapy but less painful... lol) and they have me on typing, writing, and gripping restriction... got some custom splint thing for my right hand that I can do more in but blah...

Im back with a new individual therapist finally... did a pain management group using ACT- Acceptance and Commitment therapy which was really great for me. So much to say but can't type ... blah... miss posting here/writing, etc... reading all that stuff

Ciao

Butterfly Warrior!!!! Woooohoooooo! It is SO good to hear from you. I was getting really worried about you because it has been so long. I'm sorry to hear your having such bad problems with your physical health (especially that your hands are in such rough shape).

Really glad to hear that the ACT helped and that you have a new individual therapist. I want to ask you all kinds of questions but don't want you to feel like you have to type! Big Grin

Thanks for saying hi, it's really good to know you're ok. I hope your hands allow you to type again soon, we miss all your wisdom.

Hi Butterfly Warrior, good to see you back. Sorry to hear how it's going for you. Typing restriction? Man, I'd really hate that one.

Let us know how the Acceptance and Commitment therapy goes. I've heard about it. I think they use some form of mindfulness.

I'm curious to know if you have a nice connection with your therapist...but I will wait until you're feeling better.

Take care,
Shrinklady
