My best friend grew up with both his parents alcohlics. He has all the characterics. He is like a big brother to me and I truly care about his well being! Problem is that he is now obsessively involved with a lady with 4 kids that have herione & alcohol addictions. He thinks he has to protect her from the kids problems. I've watched his mental health deteriorate and his 2 biological daughters from his former wife who passed away, fall apart from the problems. Yet he remains loyal to this lady while he pushes away all the healthy friends and family that truly care. It's to the point where he is insisting that I take on his mission to "fix" this lady also and treats me like a bad person if I don't. I want to do what is in his best interest. Any suggestions on how to handle this?
