Have you ever found out anything personal about your Therapist...that left you wondering if you could truly continue therapy with them because of what you now know that you previously didn't? It may be something as a difference of opinion on an ethical choice or even a case of a difference of whom they may be voting for as President...but diametrically opposed to who you may vote for...

Yes. I am pretty reluctant to say what it was that she said, but basically it took me by surprise and it went COMPLETELY against my religious views. I always knew she was not religious and I was fine with that, but what she said that one day was, in my eyes, shocking. At the same time I know I am not innocent and so I try not to judge. I thought about what she said for days and days - make that months. Sometimes she would blaspheme and I remember giving her "the look" when she said certain things, but somehow I loved her unconditionally so I prayed for her and stayed.

I guess each person must decide for themselves as to what they will or will not accept in terms of differences.

Sorry about that Ang...I guess it had to be unethical if he lost his license Frowner

B2W: I understand Smiler You are right when you say 'each person must decide for themselves...'

I think it is sometimes best we know as little as possible about the Therapist in terms of their personal preferences, etc. (as long as they are not violating any laws, etc.) because it can get in the way, sometimes Smiler
