This is exactly how I feel. I'm finding it hard to get the image of your friend, sobbing on the sidewalk, out of my mind, and how hard it must be for her as she may not be in a position to openly express her grief to her client's family and friends. It would be so very difficult to suffer this sort of loss in silence, which is what I imagine clients do if their Ps or Ts die unexpectedly, and now I realize it can be just as difficult for them.

I'm also glad that you were there for her when she heard the news, so she wasn't totally alone. I can only imagine the shock you must be dealing with as well.

I don't understand.
I just meant that particular therapist had a strong reaction around the situation of that specific client.
I tend to believe that most responses around death are about the responder rather than the demisee. I completely agree therapists are all too solid flesh.
