Well, it was definitely an interesting read! I got some good connections from the text, and while it wasn't my favorite read (the last two chapters totally don't apply, and were almost disturbing to read) it was definitely a good read. This is one of those books that I now hope I stumble across at a used book sale so I can add it to my collection!

Also, it was great going back through the old post and reading everyone's thoughts on the book. Thanks for digging that up AG!
You're more than welcome R2G glad you enjoyed it. Wish I remembered the last two chapters more clearly so I could discuss it. I read the book a while back and it was important to me because I was feeling so crazy having SUCH intense, life and death, feelings about my T. The relief of knowing that other people felt that way was immense. If you haven't read it yet, I would highly recommend General Theory of Love. And it's heavier going but David Wallis's Attachment in Psychotherapy is really excellent.

Yeah that is a great book. One of my old Ts contributed to that book. Though her contribution (which was her snippets from her doctoral thesis) was great, she was a horrible therapist. lol.

Also her contribution was small. So I can set that aside and say that yes that book was great to read.
