Draggers have you got your veg all ready and frozen too? I think M and S do them in little dishes all prepared and ready to go if not. My SIL has an Aunt Bessie's Christmas too ...all good except she thought the turkey and the roasties took the same amount of time and the entire family narrowly avoided food poisoning. For some reason we've never been back for Christmas Dinner since

I have fresh food....but buy it all prepared, potatoes in goose fat ready to go. Veg all peeled and in a tray so I can wack it in the oven. It's Christmas so I don't want to spend all my time in the kitchen

Maybe that's where I am going wrong, but I do prepare all my veg the night before so it's only a case of cooking it on Christmas Day ...and I like cooking so I guess that helps

I used to prepare everything on Xmas eve, but there so much lovely stuff out there all ready to go

with chestnuts I tried were a bit of a let down
