You could consider any of the books by Jon Kabat-Zinn. He's the mindfulness guru.
It might be a good idea to leave the trauma kind of books at home. The vacation needs to be a healing restful time away from everyday stresses. Reading and thinking about mindfulness would actually give you a way to have a heightened awareness of the the beauty around you and to absorb that into your life.
