Does anyone else notice their T mirroring their body language? I was watching it today and, while I (mostly) like & respect my t it seemed soooo obvious that I wanted to start playing with her.... what if I just nonchalantly stretch my arm over here? what if I slowly reach down to itch my ankle and then never move my hand back up? or what if I casually hitch my ankle up to my knee, and then casually hitch it up to my neck?

whatcha gonna do then, monkey-mime-lady? I have got yoga skillz, you know....

I noticed exactly the opposite, I was copying my T on two occasions. Once he put his foot on the chair for a while and I thougt he was going to sit like this and I wanted to do exactly the same. The other time I noticed that I was sitting in exactly same position as he was. And that is not my usual pose during the sessions, cause usually I hold on to the chair, and this time I was sitting relaxed exactly the way he was.
Jones, you gave me a much-needed good laugh for the day. Unfortunately, I couldn't test my T on this today because we had a phone session. But the next time I see her I will be watching her closely, and if I notice her doing it I might start cracking up right during the session. Then how am I going to explain myself? If that happens I am totally blaming it on you! Wink
Echo, sounds like your P is ripe for a good game of Simon Says too... or maybe you should just bring him his own water bottle?!

MH, careful with the sudden unexplained maniacal laughter, could cause all sorts of trouble!!! and you don't know my real name, so can't hold me legally liable. Big Grin

Seriously tho, I do think she was mirroring consciously. in fact I saw her start her usual foot-waggle, stop, then put herself in 'my position'. A bit later she said 'it's like you've put yourself in a box...' - so I guess this was just a way of getting inside the feeling of being me. it gave me a moment of feeling really attuned at first, but then it was just too weird - because she didn't look like herself, it was almost like watching yourself in someone else's body, like a parody.

By the way, how on earth does one get an avatar picture?
