yesterday we put lots of notices around the neighbourhood about having found a cat. one lady phoned while we were at T, her said it probably her cat! husband talked to her... and then figured she lives like 3 houses away! she said the cat is an outside cat that wanders. we talkeda bout it, husband and me,, and we figured she isn't taking care of the cat. she didn't even come to get her! the cat has slept here like 4 nights now. i guess its a dilema for a few reasons. first, who has ownership and responsibility now? second, should i go tell this fmily they aren't good caregivers? (HAHA... that's probably a no for that one!) can i still name her Angel? what should i do? thanks

We just talked to the man who owns the cat. He said 'you got my cat' and said they just got a new cat and this one isn't so happy and won't stay in the house... I told him she been at our house all week long and been sleeping over even. he were surprised. i asked if we could keep her... he said he'd talk to his sister about it. His girlfriend said 'just go pick her up and take her home' but he said 'nah... the cat doesn't really like me...' so he just left saying he'd talk to his sister! CRazy huh.

Samy, very noble of you to post in the neighbourhood that you found Angel... however, to my line of thinking, if they let her get so skinny with huge hair matting, then that did not happen over a short period of time which the person is implying - if they got a new cat a little while ago and that's why Angel has been not wanting to come home, the low weight and matting would not have come so quickly.. It drives my crazy when people think they want pets and are taking care of them when they really are not! I say keep Angel if you want to keep her - sounds like you have cared for her much more in the span of a week than they have for months.. And if you cannot find that you can care for her, I would take her to a shelter or give her to another loving home before returning her to those people who claim to care for her.. I know that's tough to do when you have already communicated with them, so you need to decide for yourself, of course. And as for your past history with cats.. I think Angel is a gift to you to help you forgive yourself for doing things you were forced to do as a child. Cherish and love the gift, and heal through the gift.
It doesnt sound like they are taking care of her and they weren't even looking for her. Frowner

It's obnvious the cat loves you all more and probbaluy even if they took it back, it will come back to your place.... lol...

so hopefully the sister will agree and if not, still you can call her angel. I'm so bad... but I guess thatsd how I feel. You took her to the vet, she loves you all and sleeps there and wasn't taken care of by her owners so seems they dont care for her. With a new cat, that just makes it worse. Old cats dont do well with new cats especialy if the owners dont take the time to do proper cat introductions....

So hope the fact that the guy said the cat doesnt like himn and he seems like he rather leave the cat with you.. maybe that will help you all keep her.

I woulgt give them the vet bill if they came to get her!!! LOL.

Ohh yes... im vicious.... lol

Hey Samy-

Hope u find this message

I got to open the link you gave me of the kitty and Oh My, She is soooooooo adorable!!!!!! I've never seen a long-haired calico before and the markings are lovely!!!!

Now that I have seen one, I saw a commercial on TV yesterday with one on it!! HAHA.. same kind.

There is some big bug in my room right now. It looks like a large mosquitto... the ones that dont bite though.. just look like a larger version of the ones that do. It's really 'bugging' me when it flies about but Its on my wall right now and Im looking at it thinking about how when I used to have a cat, that bug had NOT a chance cause it was her Snack!.... Eeek...

Random thoughts there...
