Hi everyone,

I haven't been as active on the forum as usual, but I do try to pop in every few days and offer support where I can.

Today kicks of National Eating Disorder Awareness Week 2013. Last year I was in the depths of my eating disorder, and the week was incredibly helpful in steering me more toward recovery. ( Everybody Knows Somebody)

This year I'm doing a heck of a lot better recovery wise, and am still working my tail off.

Here's my kick-off blog post: Kicking off NEDA week 2013

I'm planning on posting daily this week with resources and blogs. I hope this helps motivate or inspire someone - to start recovery or to help a friend get closer to recovery.

R2G,thanks for posting this. I hope to be poking my head in here more often as work eases up a bit.

I'm at that ED stage where I've been recovering but I'm not really sure recovery is a good idea. I waffle on that a lot, especially as I gain weight.

I think for me the ED is far, far, far less painful and abusive than my past has been -- so it's easy to justify that "its not that bad."

Thanks for listening and for providing a space for all of this.

Jen, I uttered these exact words to my dietitian the other day. The pain of the ED was much more tolerable than the emotions the ED kept buried. Recovery is worth it though!
