I am actually a big believer in writing things to therapists. I am not a big fan of email because of an implied sense of immediacy. I think sending letters by regular mail is a better option a lot of the time.
Tomato,
I hear you. Any contact between sessions for me has potential for pain.
You often ask me good questions about my comments so I wanted to do that for you.
What does it mean to YOU if she doesn't reply? I mean does it mean that she doesn't care? Or I am just wondering. This may be something to examine in session. My T doesn't always answer my email messages. Oddly I have gotten to a place where I am okay with that. I think we both ended up compromising. I email her more than she'd like me to. I know I am doing this so I finally told her that it was okay with me if she didn't read them all or respond to them. What has now happened is that she responds to some of them with brief comments but I learn in session that she has read them. For some reason it doesn't hurt anymore. It used to be fierce pain for me. She would rather that I call her but I find that to be too much for me. I prefer email.

Thank you for the link RT...
Waiting for e-mail is the worst. Waiting for phone calls is pretty bad.
Actually, I hate waiting in general I get such bad anxiety.
