When I started first addictions counselling then psychotherapy, it always felt like I should be assigned a lesson each week. It was like I was waiting for someone to say, "okay boys and girls - take out your pencils and your grade one lesson book so we can begin. Please turn to page one...".

Almost five years in, I still envision T saying that. Little did I know not only are there no lesson books to follow exactly, page by page, there's no "answer section" at the back!!! AND, they also don't tell you in what order you're going to learn things!

It feels like I'm waiting for something - the correct answer, maybe? It doesn't have to be a long one. It can be a one word answer or a three word answer. Now that I think of it, I don't even know what the h*ll "IT" is anymore!!!
