Hello. This is kind of a silly over-thinking question but if I decide to go on medication and therapy at the same time, how will I know that the latter one is working? I mean, if the medication takes away all of the inmediate symptoms (anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive thinking) how will I know that I'm moving forward in my therapy and that it's right for me? For a while, it's been my reference point for whether or not it's working and if that gets taken away, I don't know what I should look for. Wondering if anyone has any similar experiences and could help.

I did pretty much as RT mentioned. I went on to Zoloft and a month later started therapy. I needed the meds to reduce the anxiety and lift the depression sufficiently to be able to drag myself to T's door!
I'm not sure a month is time enough to know what the meds are doing; In my case I'd say more like 2 or 3 months.
As to knowing if the therapy is working or is it just the meds; well the latter helps with the symptoms and the former helps with the underlying causes I think. It's often quoted that the most effective treatment is a combination of both medication and therapy but that depends on the individual IMHO.
