catalyst, my nieces husband is doing this everyday for this whole year . He started on Jan. 1. He has a blog about it on the Internet called 365 acts of kindness. It is pretty interesting to keep up with and it also inspires me, which was his intent with the blog. I don't do near as much as he does but I have done more after his inspiration. Sometimes it is really good to get outside of ourselves for a while. I figure if he can do it everyday with a job, wife, new baby and a house, I can put forth a little effort and do something more often.
i've done one yesterday, and one today. and also two the day before.

becca - i think that is so neat what your niece's husband is doing (don't you wish there was a family word for that? nephew in law? lol I don't know!!). it's amazing how one person can inspire others. i know when someone does a random nice thing for me i'm deeply grateful, and i'm grateful when I can do something.

poppet - it's a great concept. have you seen the movie titled the same? (paying it forward)

R2G - I'm glad you are starting again this summer!! woohoo... maybe I will try to with you.

Sometimes I feel selfish doing nice things, because after... i do feel good. it's not.... why i do kind things (and its sort of in my nature anyway as a caretaker type) but it helps and lifts me up too.
