I came across this song on youtube tonight, and it almost brought tears to my eyes, realizing how many of you I have come to truly care for, and how many of us struggle to feel safe, secure, and loved. I think I've listened to it about 6 times now; finally going to bed. This line - "when all those shadows almost killed your light" - reminded me how each of us is stronger than anything we've been through - we have NOT been defeated - we're here, loving and supporting and holding each other's hands.

Thanks! I wasn't sure where to post it, and I thought initially of putting it in with the "songs that could be about therapy...", but it's not about therapy so much as it is about the support and STRENGTH here at the forum.

I hope the song touches some hearts as it has mine.

PS - I realize that since it's from the Hunger Games, there is a depressing component to it, but I haven't seem the movie, just was really touched by the lyrics (esp. the chorus). I guess the song in the movie context can be sad, but like I said above, for me it's just really about someone loving you and giving you strength.
Yay (((Pings))) (((Draggers))) & (((AV)))!
So glad each of you understood the song in the light I intended it!
It's really all about giving someone strength, no? We'll make it through, we're stronger than whatever comes at us, and when we're weak or struggling, someone here will lift us up - love us through another day.
