Hi Draggers.
I didn't get a chance to respond to your original post before it disappeared, but I just wanted to tell you that I've had that happen many times--where I've left a session so disappointed in myself and not understanding how I failed to discuss what I needed to. It's maddening and so discouraging. I'm sorry you're experiencing this and especially sorry you're feeling like "it doesn't matter." I think I say that at least once every session, and my T says "That's like saying YOU don't matter"--to which I respond "I don't". But Draggers, you DO matter and therefore how you feel matters too. I hope you'll repost your original thoughts so other people here can offer support for what you're feeling--because it DOES matter.
