quote:
The B stands for Behavior. Example: As a kid I used to hide in my closet consistently when I was afraid or upset. An example of behavior dissociation would be when as an adult I find myself wanting to hide in my closet but don't understand why.
I had this very thing happen for me today - almost word for word.
quote:
The S stands for Sensation, which are often body memories. Example: feeling a tight feeling in your stomach after an event happened, but not understanding the link between that feeling and what happened in the past that also triggered that feeling.
this happened in a big way today too.
now I'm wondering how to get it to stop, doing what I am already doing in therapy?
is it ok to crawl into the closet now - act on the dissociated behavior urge - how do I tell my t about the sensation ones... it's really confusing me right now...
