My dear T read this poem written by a Persian/mystic poet to me on Friday and gave me a copy! I think this is what we're all working at and aiming for - awareness and acceptance of the life experience without holding on to the pain - just letting it be and wash over! I want to share it with you!

This being human is a guest house.
Every morning a new arrival.

A joy, a depression, a meanness,
some momentary awareness comes
as an unexpected visitor.

Welcome and entertain them all!
Ever if they're a crowd of sorrows,
who violently sweep your house
empty of all its furniture,
still, treat each guest honorably.
He may be clearing you out for some new delight.

The dark thought, the shame, the malice,
meet them at the dor laughing, and invite them in.

Be grateful for whoever comes,
because each has been sent
as a guide from beyond.

I plan on reading it every day!
