Thanks for posting this, Echo! This was incredibly timely for me, too, judging from the fact that I sobbed through most of it. Roll Eyes I love how such a simple story says so much.

So I'm just curious...what kinds of experiences do others think of when they see all the ways the "Piece" tried to fit with the Big O? What kinds of things have you tried to do in order to "fit"? How did you realize that you didn't need to try to "fit" with someone else, but smooth out your corners? Did someone tell you, or did something happen (or many somethings)? What has happened or is happening now to smooth out your corners? What kind of healing still needs to take place so you can "roll"?

I will think on these too and will answer later...thanks again Echo! Wink

Well, I've definitely been put on a pedestal... and left there. (They don't like it when you keep jumping off and refuse to stay put.)

I've had one that fit just right for a while, but didn't fit anymore once I started to grow. I had to ask that one to keep on rolling without me.

I've met many who had too many missing pieces for me to fill, even through I tried by best to fill them all anyway. (Hmm... my husband is definitely one of these.)

I thought/wanted to think that my P was the Big O, and he could teach me to roll.... and well maybe he was, but he let me see too many of his missing pieces.

I do think he's the closest I'll get, though, and I'm doing pretty well learning to roll on my own. "Perhaps we will meet again..."

Lift...Pull...Flop.... Smiler
