Despite the fact I can receive essentially free care from my insurance for the rest of the year...

I've opted for a break. I wanted to do equine therapy but I have limits on how I can get there, so I can't.

Has anyone found healing in volunteer work with animals? I was thinking it might be grounding... and even though not done by someone trained in therapy it could help somehow?

ideas? anything that has helped you?

Hi RT,

My cats have saved my life... both of them I brought in to my life at different times. Since I have been home from the hospital their support and entertainment has meant the world.

I really want to work with animals... even though it makes me sad too Frowner Frowner [and sorry about your ETC treatments, I'm sure those were very difficult!] but I have such an amazing heartfelt bond with them (animals) I can't see anything else my heart could go toward.

I also want to meet different people... I think it may help more of my healing than my adjunct therapy. I tried looking in to equine therapy, or even equine rehabilitation volunteer stuff and there just isn't any I can get to w/ my limited travel capabilities.
