My T often tells me to remember what is true. today I asked her to write it down so I wouldn't forget. Here is what she wrote:

You are important to me and you matter to me and others.
You do not have to do this all by yourself.
I am not as scary as you think.
Your feelings and your needs help you know what is true about yourself.
They are important.
Asking for help and clarification is also important.
You are loveable.

River, this is beautiful. Your T sounds incredible!

I have often asked my therapists/nutritionists to write down their words of wisdom. There is something about hearing it from their voices that makes all the difference. The gift your T gave you in these words is amazing and I am so very proud of you for asking for what you needed. I know that takes courage and self-awareness.
During this break from T I am going to try to remember what is true and try not to spin any of the scary stuff into something it is not.

So while I was concentrating on
quote:
You are important to me and you matter to me and others.

I had an image of being a flower instead of a weed. In a garden.

I had cool picture to post but I couldn't get them to work.
