Hi All,
When I came back to the state hospital I was very surprised to find that my room had been moved.I used to be in a cozy corner, far away & now I feel like I'm next to the principals office ie. the nurses station. I still had a couple of things left to move & I came across my wallet in my heavy coat.
Now this wallet ive had since my freshman yr of college. It holds everything & has a hard shell case for my glasses. Thru the yrs ive tried to replace it, but.....too attached.
So I had nothing else to do & started pulling stuff out of it, mostly sentimental stuff & the I came across my list. My own bucket list dated 2004. I kind of forgot about it. The paper is half ripped from my sister trying to read & it looks like trash, but then I started reading it...crying then laughing...then sighing then actually getting a pen & crossing one thing offSmiler That was a surprise.
I had made this list right after my 1st DD was born; 1st thing on the list was "have another child" & its crossed off. Some things were written, crossed out & then written again in another place. That one was "ya ya" w/ my DD's. My sisters & sister in laws call smoking & drinking on a woman weekend a ya ya. Yeah its weird.
So my question to you is do you have a bucket list & can you share some things that are on it? Do you have a quest for anything or to see anyone or any place before you pass away? Are they reachable? Like my "learn how to use a trapeez" was obviously written when I was younger, in shape & more flexible. That one isn't going to see the light of day.
So.....what say you?

* Have a walk-in closet.
* See the northern lights.
* Take dance lessons.
* Go on a whaling tour boat & actually touch one (think now that would cause heart failure. There's something about them...)

Oooh; whale watching; day trips to Florence; and chickens in egg-loo's Big Grin See what i've been missing today; oh and Scarzee doing great at the petanque!! Big Grin

Does anyone remember when Concorde was flying (sorry US members, that was a quick British/French airplane Big Grin); they used to offer day trips to Cairo etc!! Wow; Egypt and back in a day!! Flipping noisy though; it used to rattle the fillings in my teeth as it went over Roll Eyes
I like that idea RT. I might be w/ u on that. I think if I tried to work on the quilt I'd fail miserably. I just don't have the patience. I don't see very well, only made some clothes for my girls but quilting seems to go w/ retirement....not that I'll ever see that.
Dance lessons would be fun. I have a friend I teach w/ & she always said she'd wanted to take lessons so I think that one would be next...until I came into a mt. of cashBig Grin
RT, I love the idea of the already accomplished bucket list! It would be great to look at on the days when I think I haven't accomplished anything, I don't know how to have fun, I've let life go by without enjoying any of the time - all of that is total BS if I think of the wonderful things I have experienced. Puts everything in perspective! But I also need to look forward and have things I want to do, lately it's been hard to think of anything I want to do.
